General Information
Returns and exchanges for Domestic orders (US only) can be handled directly through our Returns Portal.
We are happy to offer the following options for items returned within 14 days of delivery, in original product packaging, undamaged, unworn (except for try-on), and unwashed:
- Refund
- Exchange
- Store credit
Please also make note of the following:
- Returned items must be free of any added scents, including but not limited to perfume, cologne, air freshener, incense, smoke, or deodorizing sprays.
- Returned items must also be clean and free of pet hair, debris, stains, or odors.
- Items returned with added scents, excessive pet hair, visible dirt, stains, or odors will not be eligible for a refund, exchange, or store credit and may be returned to the customer at their expense.
If you are unable to start a return using our Returns Portal, or if your return request is outside of the 14-day window, you may contact us at support@angeltype.com for further assistance.
For orders placed outside the United States, returns are not accepted except for EU/EFTA orders, which should be submitted through our EU Withdrawal page, or for items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect, as described under Damages and Issues. Outside of these cases, international customers are responsible for arranging and paying for their own return shipping, and approval of any such return is at our discretion.
Please note that contacting customer support does not mandate a longer return window or guarantee a return, exchange, or store credit.
Fees
Returns and exchanges incur a processing fee which covers processing, restocking, and handling.
- Refunds incur a $10 fee
- Exchanges incur a $5 fee
The customer is responsible for any shipping fees associated with the return of their item(s). The shipping fees vary by item(s) size and weight, as well as the customer location. This fee is calculated and displayed before the return is executed. It is charged in addition to the processing fees.
The original shipping cost is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. All fees outlined in this section remain the customer's responsibility and are non-refundable.
For exchanges, the customer is not charged a separate fee for the shipping of their new item(s). The customer may be contacted to pay an additional shipping fee if an exchange on the same order has taken place more than once.
All applicable fees are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding.
Items returned to our return address without prior authorization through our Returns Portal or written confirmation from us will not be eligible for a refund, exchange, or store credit. Unauthorized returns may be sent back to the customer at their expense.
Discounted and Sale Items
Discounted and sale items are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless otherwise stated or explicitly agreed upon in writing, except to the extent the EU and EFTA right of withdrawal described below applies.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the incorrect item. This allows us to evaluate the issue and resolve it appropriately.
Refused Deliveries / No Response to Shipping Carriers (US and International)
If an order is refused by the recipient, returned to sender, or undeliverable due to customer inaction, we are not obligated to issue a refund, exchange, or store credit.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Refusing delivery at the time of attempt
- Failure to respond to shipping carrier outreach requests
- Failure to provide required delivery information (such as address confirmation, phone number, or identification)
- Failure to pay any applicable VAT, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or carrier handling fees
- Failure to collect a held package within the carrier’s allotted timeframe
Once an order has shipped, the customer assumes responsibility for successful delivery. Shipping carriers act independently, and we are not responsible for delays, holds, returns, or disposal of packages caused by customer non-response or refusal.
If a refused or undeliverable package is returned to us, any refund issued is strictly at our discretion. Original shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs fees, and carrier handling fees are non-refundable. Items returned damaged, altered, or incomplete due to carrier or customs handling are not eligible for a refund.
If a package is lost, abandoned, seized, or destroyed by the carrier or customs authority due to customer refusal or non-response, no refund or replacement will be issued.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for monitoring shipment tracking
- You are responsible for responding promptly to carrier communications
- You are responsible for all import-related fees and compliance requirements
Other Information
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns on items marked final sale, discounted items, or gift cards.
Jewelry and accessories marked as final sale are not eligible for return or exchange. All other jewelry returns are subject to standard eligibility requirements.
Partial Refunds
In some cases, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion. This may apply when a returned item is received in a condition that does not fully meet our return eligibility requirements but does not warrant outright rejection. The refund amount will reflect the condition of the item upon receipt.
Refund Timing
Refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving your return. You will be notified by email once your refund has been issued. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to post the credit to your account.
Rejected Returns
Returns that do not meet our eligibility requirements will not be refunded. If your return is rejected, you will be notified by email. Rejected items will be held for 7 days, during which you may arrange to have the item shipped back to you at your own expense. If no arrangements are made within that window, the item will be disposed of and no refund or store credit will be issued.
European Union & EFTA 14-Day Cooling Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if merchandise is shipped into the European Union or EFTA region (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein), you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of delivery, for any reason and without justification. Submit your request through our EU Withdrawal page. The cost of returning the merchandise to us is your responsibility. Once we receive your return, the price of the merchandise, your original shipping cost, and any import duties or taxes collected from you at checkout will be refunded.
Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received: unworn or unused, with tags, and in original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.
