Almost home!
Just wanted to thank all of you for your patience while the team and I have been out of office. We are looking forward to returning on Monday 11 11 24 and will be back to shipping out in-stock orders and some of the preorder items that are coming in that week. A lot of items have finished up — I'll share some updates regarding preorders below. I'll also be sharing some information about why we currently do preorders.
UPDATES
Clothing: Björk tees, holland lop tees, and ripples skirts have finished production and should begin to ship late next week. Super wide pleats are still in production and are expected to ship later this month. Paneled sheepskin jackets are still in production and are expected to ship towards the end of the month. Bat wing longsleeves and gauze ponchos are now in production and are expected ship early to mid next month.
Jewelry: Bloom crosses, posie rings, boro bracelets, camera coldshoes, circuit crosses, and bramble rings have finished production and are also expected to begin shipping late next week.
Accessories: Origami tote bags are now in production and are expected ship early to mid next month.
WHY WE DO PREORDERS
While there's a few reasons we do preorders, the main reason is that it's genuinely challenging to gauge how well items will be translated to our customers. For clothing production there are certain minimums for production and the cost per item varies based on how many we order. Especially due to our brands transition into a more avant garde space, we've also experienced some challenges with our pieces being communicated properly. I find it difficult to purchase clothing online, so I truly understand the uncertainty of purchasing a garment you can't try on or feel in person.
I also do everything in terms of marketing, photography, social media, design, etc., so you may imagine it's hard to hit all the bases when I'm juggling pretty much everything outside of customer service and inventory management.
We 100% want to discontinue preorders for new items in 2025. This means our items will become a lot more limited and the turn around time will be exponentially shorter.
IN CLOSING
Again, thank you so much for your patience and support. We really couldn't do it without you.
